“FRANK is a cupboard with a transparent exterior. The ambition with the design and production of the piece has been to make the craftsmanship visible and to be totally frank about the construction process. Everything from attachments, material joints and fittings to the movement of the locking bolt is displayed. The casing is made out of Plexi glass, but has been treated as if it was wood. For example, it is jointed by dovetailing, a classic technique often used in wood furniture.”
