mysterious process of design

I'm in the process of designing my new products, and I was thinking about the mysterious process of designing something. How it is a mixture of so many different interpretations and impressions that we get day by day, some of the inspiration and influences are so vivid that the moment you touch or see it, you know that this is it. Some of them are so invisible, so timid but powerful at the same time, hidden somewhere in the subconscious and floating there until the time comes to transform,materialize them into physical objects.
I think, this process is truly magical.
