color-full or color-less?

Personally, I prefer color less residential interiors with lot of natural materials and maybe some accent colors sprayed here and there. But in colorless I don't mean only white,black and grey, I love pale colors with low saturation. My favorites are mustard yellow and deep green blue.
In my own apartment, I'm all about white walls and natural tones, with a lot of wood around. But generally, when I look at the pictures of others homes, vibrant color domination is also very interesting.
I think color has to bring intrigue, tide everything together but not be overwhelmingly dominated.
