Kite Derby Day 1957

The images are from the Kite Derby Day 1957, the kites are designed by the sophomore students of industrial design department at University of Illinois.  The shapes are mind blowing, I can't believe it's designed so many years ago. I wish I lived in USA in 1950ies or 1960ies..
