drawing glass

Drawing glass by Fabrica- collection of glass objects, created without any digital tools, from sketching -directly to the glass blowers, without any specifications or technical details. Back to basics, just sketching and the end product.
Each piece is a functional element, serving as stands or containers.
I think they are great, and the idea to create an object with the basic sketch, without any digital tools, not even a technical drawing is quite daring in our world.

Abat-Jour

Abat-Jour lamp designed by me for New Light, displayed and sold at 12th km. Agmashenebeli Alley, Tbilisi, Georgia.
The inspiration came from the fabric lamp shades of 1920's and 1930's. The fabric is transformed into wood, changing the aesthetic feel of the lamp from light and airy to heavy and hard. Although the materials differ, the shape is still reminiscent of the past.
